Ranching at Silver Spur Trails

2012 was a very special and eventful year at Silver Spur Trails Wilderness Ranch. Kevin decided to start ranching and bought his first Holstein calf in spring. The calf was named Abbey by the Waldorf Kelowna Students who booked a tipi adventure in June. The little calf was a delight to many our guests who had the opportunity to bottle feed it. Since then a few more calves came to the ranch, Blueberry, the little Jersey was the last one added to the herd.

Although Kevin has decided to sell his entire herd of dairy stock, they will always be remembered as the cute little bottle calves that even the toughest cowboys and cowgirls would want to pet. Even though the herd is gone and dispersed, whisper goes around the ranch that Kevin has been scouting at some Texas Long Horn stock, nothing has been decided or confirmed, but only in spring will we find out his real intentions.
